Appoint principal contractors to build, extend or refurbish community buildings, offices and other public buildings across Scotland, using modular or traditional construction, through a DPS established under the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
Scottish social landlords and councils look after far more than homes. Community centres, offices, temporary accommodation and, for councils, schools, libraries and leisure centres all need building, extending or bringing up to standard. Each project needs a building warrant, a capable principal contractor and a procurement route you can stand behind when your board, your auditors or the Scottish Housing Regulator ask how a decision was made. Social housing is our focus, but because this is non-residential work, any public sector organisation can use the DPS.
This DPS gives you that route, with a pool of pre-vetted contractors of different sizes ready to compete for your project. We can help from the very start: designing the solution, running pre-market engagement with contractors in your area and setting minimum standards, specifications and social value requirements. You choose the build method that fits the job, and you can use your own pricing model and contract terms.
